I think it is somehting connected to the anti spam anti bombing that he tried to implement.
still, I dowloaded a newer script by another guy, with some anti spam features, and it works great, only the old messages (html) do not work with it.
that's why I am doing this.
were you the one at rick's asking how to change the colors to the script?

: Try uploading the original wwwboard.cgi script in PURE ASCII mode -- after editing it for paths, urls, message directories. etc.

: Keep the original in cgi-bin by renaming it - you may need it for reference if you've done online edits.

: I'm sure you know all this. I mention it only because I had a board using one of Matt's earlier scripts and had the same problem - post/yes, reply/no. Reuploading in ASCII and setting permissions did the trick.
