I think, considering where we are in society today, that the problem could be too much love. I think there are too many things which need people to address them and take an interest. Marx said something like "The worst thing for a man to do is to marry and so to conceed himself to the government". While i do believe that love is the final aim of just about everything we do, i think it can also be too easy to sink into apathy and ignorance. If we're going to fight for peace then i suppose, by the same standards, we're going to have to hate for love - to deny ourselves the luxury of apathy, so that more people can have the chance to live happy lives in the future.
