And Anitah has yet to say anything worth thinking about. Her post is the usual, all-too predictable generalized rant about US excess, blah, blah, that every college freshman "feels" (Spratley take note) after reading some of the favorite collegiate ideological tract. If you find that interesting, I can only say that I think you should get out more. If she's posted somehting insightful that I've missed, paste it here.

One thing I have consistently noticed about anti-americanism is that it never really gets past the rant stage. They invariably clam up when called on it.

P.S. It's not "always better to be a critic of one's country". Really, regardless of the context, that just can't be a true statement in the absolute form you've presented it.
