: we all know that the number of women whom are intersted in philosophy is very small.
: the quetion is are women involved really involved in philosophy or not?why?
do you wear a dress? i'll assume, for the sake of your dignity, that you do not. now, do you consciously choose not to wear a dress? or is it maybe because you're afraid you might get mocked and have the shit kicked out of you for dressing like a girl? see, i think gender (not sex) is a social construct and society pressures the sexes to act a certain way. just as you're pressured into not wearing a dress, because you're a guy, women are usually pressured out of the more "intellectual" fields of life. so i don't think the problem is that they are uninterested, but that they are raised/trained/forced no be uninterested in things such as philosophy. which sucks.
