david hockney

david hockney is one of the most important artist of the century.

what I like from his pictures is an extension of himself,a kind of mirror where the artist is reflected, hidden, masked.

his paintings and his photographs are an explanation of modern society and its symbols, the cult objects of mass consumers and objet-d'art eaters.

The views are clear and simple, though not naive, since the shapes present a great dramatics and a big deal of anguish.

If I include him in an existentialist review,it is because I find an image of assumed self portrait behind the situation, the intention of not describing, but revealing this point of perspective where there is only place for one:the subject
